Portraits at Home
To produce a good portrait, whether initiated in a studio, at home or in the local environment, the subject needs to be relaxed and feel completely at ease. So where better to photograph people, especially young children than in their own familiar surroundings.
What Happens
You are photographed in your own home, garden or even local park using the natural surroundings. Photographs can be of individuals or groups or even your pets, depending upon your own requirements.
The minimum service will result in a set of either 7½”x 5” photographs and one 12” X 8” enlargement, or ten 7½”x 5” photographs of your choice, consisting of six or seven set ups and the session usually lasts at least two hours.
I have worked in a studio setting that usually allows 30 minutes for a portrait sitting. But I found these sessions to be very unsatisfying and impersonal experiences and likened them to what I call factory photography. This is the reason that I like to allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the subjects and have a cup of tea!
Obviously variations to this service are possible in that you may require more photographs or larger 8" X 6" prints or even two sets.
If required, it is possible to digitally manipulate the final images to resemble a painting, a caricature, made into a montage or you may wish to stipulate your own criteria. It is possible to produce a multi-image print to your own requirements and these would need to be priced separately.
Each print produced is personally corrected, graded, enhanced and any blemishes or flaws removed in order to produce the best possible end result.
