First of all, if you have navigated to this page then, congratulations on your forthcoming wedding. You obviously realise that finding a wedding photographer is a step in the wedding planning process that should not be taken lightly. The wedding photographs will record one of the most treasured days of your life for posterity and there is no second chance.
I have had the privilege of photographing weddings for many years in the local area of Wiltshire, Somerset, Hampshire and Gloucestershire, as far north as Durham and Leeds, and as far west as New York. I am happy to travel, but distances beyond a 25 mile radius of Trowbridge must be taken into account.
What Happens
Two or three weeks before the wedding and having visited the wedding venues, I like to meet up with the couple to listen to and discuss exactly what sort of coverage they require, the makeup and number of the groups and any other additional event that they may have planned for their special day. It is my policy to attend only one wedding per day. I can start before the Wedding with the build up to the ceremony, through to the end of the reception and the departure of the Bride and Groom (given that it happens at a reasonable hour!).
Obviously, this will include the traditional photography such as the signing of the register, groups at the church or wedding venue and the cutting of the cake etc. But the bulk of the photographs will be informal shots of the Bride and Groom, parents, family and guests etc, in order to catch the spirit and essence of the occasion.
I endeavour to shoot around 500 to 800 pictures, which are then downloaded to a 'Wedding - Proof Only' CD from which you choose the prints you require. I can supply more than one of these CDs to various branches of the family, and also display all the images in a password protected gallery on my website. When the families have decided on their choice of prints, it can then make more economical sense to decide which Wedding Package to choose.
I feel that it is important to point out that as part of my service, I individually remove any blemishes or flaws. Some revealing examples of this are demonstrated at the above link on the 'Restoration and Retouching' page. Also, I correct, grade and enhance each image that is to be printed, in order to produce the best possible end result. All these prints become the property of the client, along with a high resolution DVD containing all the pictures taken on the day and a DVD Slide Show to music of your choice
On the Wedding Prices page I have given the options for various packages. Please use these as a guide as none of these prices is carved in stone and I am quite willing to listen if you have very specific requirements.
